Keeping Away Dental Disease

Did you know that over 75% of our dogs and cats over 3 years old have dental disease?

Dental disease is a HUGE deal. Brushing your pet’s teeth might not be as difficult as you imagine. Watch this video below for a step-by-step guide on how to brush your pet’s teeth!

Infections in the mouth can cause bacteria in the blood stream which can infect other parts of the body like the kidneys, heart, and liver! Periodontal disease begins when bacteria form on the teeth called plaque. Over time, the plaque begins to move under the gum line and causes inflammation, gingivitis.

Gingivitis is irreversible and painful! Good news is brushing your pet’s teeth daily will prevent periodontal disease and gingivitis. Watch the video below for a demonstration on how to brush your pet’s teeth.

As always, if you have any questions, please contact our clinic and we can answer them for you.
