Tumor & Growth Removal
Lumps and bumps are common, especially in older pets, though they can appear at any age. Depending on their location, these growths may limit your pet’s movement. As they grow larger, removing them becomes more challenging—especially in delicate areas like the throat or limbs. If you notice a lump or bump on your pet that is rapidly changing or increasing in size, please contact us immediately.
Growths can be either benign or malignant. For your pet’s well-being, we recommend surgical removal to stop the mass from growing or spreading to other areas of the body.
Hernia Repair
Foreign Body Removal
Pets sometimes swallow non-food items like socks, balls, chew toys, hair ties, rocks, string, sticks, pantyhose, or underwear. While some objects may pass naturally through the stomach and digestive tract, others can become lodged, leading to dangerous and potentially life-threatening blockages. The size of both your pet and the ingested object largely influences the chances of safe passage.
Signs of a gastrointestinal obstruction include loss of appetite, dehydration, vomiting, lethargy, abdominal pain, weakness, abnormal stools (such as diarrhea, constipation, blood, or unusual color), and pale gums.
If you suspect your pet has swallowed a foreign object, call us immediately. Upon arrival, we will perform x-rays to locate the object and determine the best course of action. In some cases, vomiting may be induced, but surgery is often necessary to safely remove the obstruction.
